Scholarship
For the students placed by ÖSYM, this scholarship is non-refundable and remains uninterrupted throughout the regular education and training period. In addition to accommodation, meals, transportation, books, etc., it covers the entire tuition fee. In case the regular education period is exceeded, the continuation of the scholarship is determined by the Istanbul Gelişim University Board of Trustees.
50% Discounted
Students placed in programs with a 50% discount by ÖSYM pay the annual tuition fee at a 50% discounted rate. Scholarships are non-refundable and remain uninterrupted throughout the regular education and training period. In addition to accommodation, meals, transportation, books, etc., it covers the tuition fee. In case the regular education period is exceeded, the continuation of the scholarship is determined by the Istanbul Gelişim University Board of Trustees.
% 25 Discounted
Students placed in programs with a 25% discount by ÖSYM pay the annual tuition fee at a 25% discounted rate. Preference Scholarship
A preference scholarship is awarded to students who choose Istanbul Gelişim University within their top 5 preferences and are placed in an IGU program by ÖSYM. The percentage of the preference scholarship varies depending on the program. Click here to see the preference scholarship rates.
Students who list Istanbul Gelişim University in all their preferences up to the one they are placed in, without listing another university, are eligible for the preference discount even if it is not within their top 5 choices. (For example, if all top 10 preferences are IGU programs and ÖSYM places the student in one of these programs that offers a preference scholarship, they can benefit from the scholarship.)
• Programs that admit students through special talent exams are not eligible for the preference discount.
• The on-campus preference discount cannot be combined with corporate scholarships.
• The on-campus preference discount rate is 10%.
Sibling Scholarship
In the case where multiple siblings are enrolled at our university, each sibling is eligible for a 5% discount on their tuition fees. This discount remains valid as long as they are enrolled. (Master's degree students and fully scholarship recipients, regardless of their level of education, are not eligible for this discount.)
Achievement Scholarship
Istanbul Gelişim University rewards successful students with success scholarships during their education. Scholarship opportunities are provided at the rate determined by the Board of Trustees.
Come To Gelisim Scholarship
What is Come to Gelişim?
Come to Gelişim, launched by Istanbul Gelişim University in 2019, is a university acceptance program that offers additional scholarship opportunities to students who want to achieve success through their talent, experience, ideas, or projects. Come to Gelişim provides prospective university students with the opportunity to establish their own criteria for success and defines "special scholarships" for them to evaluate areas in which they can improve.
Prospective students apply to Come to Gelişim by submitting a detailed motivation letter that highlights their unique qualities and talents. Applications evaluated by the commission result in scholarships in addition to the ÖSYM scholarship, at a rate determined by the commission. Board of Trustees Scholarship
Students who rank in the top 10, top 100, top 500, or top 1000 will be awarded an achievement scholarship under conditions and rates determined by Istanbul Gelişim University. This scholarship does not apply to students placed through language scores. The "achievement scholarship" is paid for 9 months and, unless affected by absenteeism, failure, or disciplinary action, is valid for 2 years in associate degree programs and 4 years in undergraduate programs.
R&D Incentive Scholarship
At Istanbul Gelişim University, students who undertake projects that are globally impactful, innovative, and entrepreneurial in nature are eligible to receive R&D incentive scholarships. Scholarships are provided at a rate determined by the Board of Trustees.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Support Scholarship
Students who hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with a score between 35-45 are eligible for scholarships.
The scholarships provided to students placed in scholarship programs only cover the tuition fees. Other expenses such as accommodation, meals, transportation, books, etc., are not included in the scholarship.
These scholarships are unconditional and will not be terminated during the regular academic term. However, if the normal duration of education is exceeded, or if a disciplinary penalty is imposed, the relevant scholarships will be terminated as of the date when the disciplinary penalty becomes final.
Students who receive a 100% scholarship from ÖSYM are not eligible for these scholarships.
**Come To Gelisim Scholarship” cannot be combined with “Preference Scholarship,” “Corporate Scholarship,” or “IGU Scholarship.”
