Prof. Dr. Dimitar Raşkov

Dimitar Rashkov was born in 1954 in Karlovo, Bulgaria. After graduating from Kazanlak Art School, he studied sculpture at the Sofia National Academy of Arts and graduated in 1981.

The artist worked as a painting teacher at Kazanlık Art School between 1981 and 1985. Having served as the director of the City Art Gallery, Vladimir also worked in the city of Kyiv, Russia and Ukraine.

The artist, who has held 40 personal exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad in many different countries, is known for his successful works in the field of “Small Sculptures” in the art of sculpture. The artist is also a very strong master of oil painting. He works mainly on landscapes with oil painting technique. As a famous artist who uses paint and harmony well and can apply different compositions, Dimitar Rashkov is the owner of dozens of awards. Rashkov’s paintings and sculptures are in museums, galleries and private collections of Bulgaria and European countries.

Dimitar Rashkov generally works realistically. Fantasy, surrealistic and manipulative elements in his sculptures and synthesis works are his characteristics.
