Burak Boyraz was born in 1986 in Istanbul. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul. In 2004, he started to study at Kocaeli University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Plastic Arts. In the second year of his university education, his works were accepted to the 9th Traditional Painting Competition Exhibition of the Naval Forces Command. After his graduation in 2008, he joined Yıldız Technical University, Museum Studies Master’s Program. In 2011, he opened his first personal exhibition at Pera Fine Arts Gallery in Kadıköy, and in the same year he started the Plastic Arts Proficiency Program at Kocaeli University.

It can be said that Boyraz is quite productive in the field of art. While he was still studying, he participated in many exhibitions and art fairs in Turkey and organized mail-art activities targeting primary school students in Turkey and Greece. His works were exhibited at Youth Activity-6 in 2014 and at Young Activity-7 in 2017. He conducted research on painting restoration in the Balkans, in North Macedonia (Skopje), Serbia (Belgrade) and Greece (Athens), and in Turkey, in the cities of Istanbul, Ankara and Bursa. In 2017, he shared the “Young Painter of the Year” award with Eda Su Neidik at the “Mimar Sinan Fine Arts High School Architect Sinans of the Year Awards”. He continues his academic studies under the roof of Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Art.

Boyraz, who formed an artist identity during his student years, took his place as a good artist with the works he produced with a contemporary approach and understanding in today’s art. In addition to his solo exhibitions, he took part in dozens of group exhibitions, symposiums and projects. He continues his original works in his workshop in Istanbul. We see that Burak Boyraz, who is dynamic and constantly renewing himself and works in discipline, follows a successful line in Contemporary Turkish Sales.
